FAQ

What people usually ask us.

Can I run my consultancy through a UK limited company?

Yes. Many consultants use a limited company to invoice clients, keep business income and costs together and file as a company. We register it and look after it from then on.

What records do I need as a consultant?

Invoices issued, expense receipts, bank statements and any contracts that explain how you are paid. We set up the bookkeeping so these are captured as you go.

Do you help with VAT on consulting fees?

Yes. We check whether your company needs to be registered, keep the records Making Tax Digital requires and submit your returns. How VAT applies to a fee depends on who the client is and where they are, so we look at that with you.
